How to Attract Customers By Tempting Them
Business is not just about communicating what you offer but it is about tempting your existing customers and prospective customers with tantalizing offers that they can’t say “No” to.
Those who love food, for example, will never refuse if you offer a free recipe sample or discount coupons that you may offer on your site. Those who are ardent videogamers will definitely not pass up any offers of free downloads that are meant for gamers.
So you see, the key to success in any business is not only to identify your target market but also utilize every opportunity you can get to present your customers with some tempting offer, relevant information or customized, unique services that enable them to meet their needs.
Remember, once their interest is piqued, your next step must be in reinforcing trust using other means of communication with your target group. This may be done through ads, newsletters, email, blogs and so on. This way, your list of email contacts and buyers will grow organically as you build more and more customers through viral marketing.
With tantalizing incentives, such as buy-one-get-one-free offers, and forward-to-a-friend referral program or subscription links in newsletters, you will definitely know how to attract customers to use your website.

Keep on doing heavy advertising but try to be descritive in something that is short and quick to read. Make it appealing. I don’t know if this is local or over the net but anything you do locally won’t hurt as far as outside of the internet. My business is local and physical but most of my work came from word of mouth. I only advertised when first starting out and stopped there. You may want to get some type of business logos on you vehicle so no matter where you go people will see. It just may spark interests for some people and lets face it… it all helps. You could also make flyers and other types of informational things. If you do that i would just go to all the places you visit most like gas stations, small stores, etc, and ask them if it is ok to leave a stack or 2 for their customers. Oh and try to pick out busy places! I hope this helps and good luck!

The best idea is to advertise. first, put an ad in the newspaper. a lot of people read the newspaper.
then next you should type out fliers, put them in a plastic bag with rocks and throw on peoples driveways, or roll the flyer up in a rubber band, stick in mailboxes, peoples garage door handles, or peoples front door handles. You could send out emails, tell those people to tell other people, etc. Give out coupons, cards, and promotional items.

Leave business cards at local spots.
Create flyers and leave those at local spots.
Sponsor a team or an event of some sort.
    Hand out gift baskets..?
It would be easier to know what type of business specifically. That way we can know where you should/ and how you should attract customers.

The best place in my oppinion would be to, either hire people or do this your self, go to a heavy populated area and pass fliers or have a big singe, go to a mall or a large park, make sure its fine to do this though, or have your friends spread around word of your buissness casualy, itl grow i garantee it.

Depending on your business, samples are a great option. Plus if you do not have a blog you should start one! Engine searches love them!
I have had great results using blogs linking to my website

Pay a bunch of people to line up in front. When people see crowds they think “hey!, there’s something going on there!”
